Brother Sykes started the True Light Baptist Church in Los Lunas, New Mexico in 2009. When the True Light Baptist Church was started, Brother Sykes believed the key to success was getting the Gospel into the hands and ears of the people of New Mexico. With the help of the Lord, he determined to invite 10,000 people to the first church service held on October 18th, 2009. He called this "Operation 10,000". With the help of several soulwinning believers, "Operation 10,000" was a huge success. Many souls were led to the Lord in salvation and the very first church service had 96 in attendance. Over the first year of True Light Baptist Church, Brother Sykes has trained several new converts to become soulwinners and has since completed "Operation 10,000 More".
BSALT is a ministry of the True Light Baptist Church in Los Lunas, New Mexico. BSALT exists for the purpose of getting the Gospel into the hands and ears of Americans in towns that do not have a strong Gospel witness.
BSALT is not a mission board or a ministry that sells information. BSALT is a network of believers that believes that the Gospel is the only answer for America and desires to see souls saved and churches started all across the United States. The BSALT website is the hub that brings together churches that have a desire to reproduce themselves with Biblically-qualified preachers that God has called to start churches. In an organized and effective manner, BSALT brings together efforts to reach the most needed counties in the United States with an effective plan that can help a church planter get a year ahead of where he would have been otherwise, or assist in church rescue.
It is our prayer that you will consider being a part of the BSALT network of believers that truly do want to take the Gospel to the most-needed counties in the United States. Churches need to reproduce themselves, and church planters need help. We must work together to get the Gospel into the hands and ears of lost Americans all across the United States.
